Young Researcher Award

Umeå University awards young promising scientists. Researchers can apply for this special grant "Young Researcher Award" up to ten years after having attained the doctoral degree.

Through a special form of research award, researchers can receive a sum up to two million kronor.  This kind of award is unique in Sweden. In the first round, in the year 2008, 71 researchers from the whole university were selected by external experts.

Below, the researchers from the Faculty of Science and Technology that were rewarded in 2011 are presented.
